"Our cat was christened Trouble and lives up to his name in many respects. He's a real outdoor cat who likes to hunt, bringing mice and all sorts of birds on a regular basis – he's even been known to catch swifts. He is totally addicted to your
cat treats, especially
hearty bites and the
liver ones too. Every evening at 9pm, he gets 3 pieces and his internal clock knows exactly when that it is. At 9pm on the dot, he strolls into the living room and looks at us in an expectant manner. If we don't respond he makes his point very clear, usually by a combination of loud meows and trying to find the packet. So we throw him a hearty bite and he happily munches his way through, then waits for the next and the same for the thirds. He knows he only gets 3, as he wanders off or comes for a stroke as soon as he's had his 3 pieces.
In the 3 years he's been with us, Hearty Bites are the only food I have ever seen him steal. He loves our leftovers, but will only eat them when he's given them. I can leave prawns or chicken out on the table and he will leave them alone, but not the Hearty Bites. If we leave the packet out he will be found with his paw in the packet or picking it up with his teeth to try to shake out the contents. The problem is that he doesn't understand that if he finishes the packet, there are no more, so we always have to make sure we have plenty in reserve!"
